AMAST renovates the pipeline bridge at Spanish Lagoon Balashi for WEB Aruba NV
Project period: June 2019 – March 2020
As a child I used to jump from this bridge, like many children still do. Now I was proud to be the one assigned to renovate the 60-year old pipeline bridge with AMAST. The pipelines on this important bridge are used to traffic fuel, water & electricity from WEB to the other side of the island.

ORANJESTAD – After months of preparation, this Wednesday morning the installation of the modern bridge from the green corridor project has started. The new bridge is part of the four-lane highway which is build between San Nicolas and Oranjestad.
FUTURE EXISTING BRIDGE
The existing bridge across the Spanish Lagoon will not be demolished but will be part of the linearly park and will be used for recreational purposes.
SPECIFICATIONS
The first part of the bridge which is now installed weighs about 14 tons and it took several hours before the installation was final. Prime Minister Mike Eman has offered a helping hand in securing the bridge with massive screws. The executive team has a huge challenge ahead of us, but it looks as though the project will be completed as planned.
AMAST NV is responsible for the lifting work during the installation of the new bridge.
